+ Please link dated slang terms to Urban Dictionary or a similar source, to help younger fans who may not be familiar with older slang. Examples: "fudge-packing", or "hunk" would be considered dated. "Cool" would not be, since it is still widely used by young people.
+ Make sure to include as much of the date information as is available. If the full date of a quote is known, please use it. Example: "14 Dec 1989" is better than "Dec 1989" is better than "1989".
Make sure to use Day/Month/Year format for consistency. Spelling out or abbreviating the month, rather than using a number, is preferred for clarity.
+ If the quote comes from a particular print or film/video source, make sure to include the title and author (if applicable).
+ If the quote is from a third party (not a band member or someone an average fan would know by name, like Courtney Love or Eddie Vedder), try to link to biographical or other information about that person to establish how they knew the band members. A good example link: Youri Lenquette
+ If the exact context/timing of a quote is relevant (for example, it was said immediately before or after a kiss, during a significant benefit concert, or other related action), please mention the context, too.
+ If you know of supplementary materials that are directly related to a particular quote or photograph, please include links to these in the quote or photo's post. Example: A GIF image that shows a quote being spoken should be linked in the quote's post (and vice versa).
+ Bisexuality - This is a somewhat subjective tag, due to the confused general understanding society has about bisexuality. People typically would not say they were in a "bisexual relationship" even if they called themselves bi, since you can't really be in one unless you're with multiple people at once.
In most cases I try to apply this tag specifically where the context suggests to a reader that there is some conflict between what's being said and what the person's biography suggests about their life, or that there is an inner conflict or confusion. Like Kurt saying he's gay when we know he thought Courtney was "the best fuck in the world". Or saying he's not gay when he also talked about enjoying gay sex.
This illustrates his own understandable confusion about bisexuality, in my opinion. Krist sounds less confused and conflicted in general, but it's good to include his statements about enjoying gay sex in this category, too, since he's been happily married to two different women. Dave is a lot shyer about the topic, so most of his quotes with this tag would be post-band era.
+ Homosexuality - This should be used in every instance where it seems obvious to do so, but also on every quote about bisexuality, since the mention of homosexual feelings or activities is the identifying factor that allows us to see the bisexuality in men otherwise known to enjoy female company.
+ Tagging by implication - I will tag quotes with a topic if the topic is heavily implied by what's said, and not just expressed explicitly. For example, I tagged this quote with "dating and relationships" because Kurt saying, "If I wasn't attracted to Courtney, I'd be a bisexual," implies some of his beliefs and desires about relationships: He wants to be monogamous to Courtney and therefore considers his bisexuality to not fully apply in his current life situation, seeing it as applicable only when he's free to be with anyone.
